Singapore Residence is a new 4 storey home in Singapore, on a very tight plot with strict restrictions. The plot is only 9 meters wide, with a 2-meter building line, which reduced the width of the home to only 7m.

We used a steel frame construction, with maximum glazed areas and aluminum cladding for sun control.

Due to these restrictions, the sun control had to be pulled inside the building lines, which necessitated the use of perforated vertical screens to reduce the heat gain in the building, while a pool on the 4^th floor, partially cantilevered, added to the structural complexities.

In spite of a 12-meter building line from the street, the house measuring 430sq. meter is almost 8o sq.m. larger than the plot. The house includes 7 en-suite bedrooms, a study/games room, family and dining rooms, kitchen, and staff accommodation.
