GEAT RESIDENCE
A very interesting, light-filled, home on a south entry stand, constructed with steel, glass, and concrete. Although the plot is fairly deep from south to north, it is slightly constricted east to west, thus creative solutions were required for a big home on the stand without having living rooms without north light.
The solution was to create two north elevations with a large atrium in the center, to allow north light into the southern rooms.
At the entrance, one crosses a moat filled with Koi to arrive at a double volume formal entertainment area consisting of an entrance hall, lounge, and dining room with a wine cellar.
The lounge overlooks a water feature in an atrium through to the double volume family room and to the pool beyond.
Next to the family room is an open-plan dining area/ kitchen which connects to the lanai and pool. The scullery next to the kitchen links up to the triple garage on the southeast side of the home.
On the other side of the family room are a gym and guest suite.
Upstairs are 3 suites, a private and children’s lounge, with a library on the bridge connecting the main suite with the children’s suite.
