DIAMOND DEVELOPMENTS
Multi-family developments have always been popular as a result of the establishment of small to medium communities, shared amenities. and the reduction in the cost of living and construction.
Living and security requirements have also changed requiring these developments to take place considering we spend more time at work than at home.
This typology has become quite popular in Ivory Coast, hence our new Diamond Development project.
The underlying notion guiding this development was the need for interconnectedness and dependency.
All 6 units, ranging between 230 square meters to 280 square meters, share similar floor plan layouts, with living spaces occupying the ground floors while privacy is afforded to the first-floor bedrooms.
The two larger units have a double volume living space.
The development offers public amenities in the form of a gym, an office, and a meeting room. The most important aspect for the creation of a community environment for the scale of such developments is the connectivity of the public walkways and open spaces between buildings.
The relationships between the individual units were carefully considered to create an intriguing aesthetic with a mixture of stone and steel facades. This resulted in a seemingly singular building, which offers 6 elegant different units, each with their own privacy and seclusion while being fully integrated into the small community space.
